Oil Prices Fall Back After A Brief Rally

Brent oil futures on Monday closed slightly lower on hopes the United States is making progress on a new economic stimulus package, as well as curbing the coronavirus spread.
 
Brent settled at $44.65 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude, settled at $41.94.

Oil prices rose slightly on Tuesday as OPEC and its allies cut production by more than agreed to in June, although demand concerns lingered due to increased cases of COVID-19 in the United States.
 
Brent crude futures were up 32 cents to $43.04 a barrel, after moving lower earlier in the session. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 29 cents to $40.39 a barrel.
